White House announces new wave of student loan debt cancellation – CBS News

The Biden administration has announced a new wave of student loan forgiveness that will cancel nearly $5 billion in debt for about 74,000 borrowers, many who have worked in the public sector for more than a decade. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona joined CBS News to discuss the cancellations, as well as the state of mental health among students and U.S. education ratings.
