Let that gift be you

Growing up in the seventies and eighties one of the more common sayings was “if you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing at all.”

Not only was this a wonderful lesson in self-control it also helped to keep the disease known as gossip under wraps.

That was then, this is now.

In today’s world that beneficial saying has been replaced with “just keeping it real” as though gossip and ignorance are “real”.

Whatever that means.

Another is “speaking MY truth” which allows virtually anything to come out of someone’s mouth.

Sadly these are the types of things that happen when Participation diminishes Competition.

When everyone believes they are “special” and a gift to the world.

Hubris has replaced humility.

Greed has replaced Grace.

Morals have been replaced with madness, and because of this, humanity and our systems, are breaking down.

Technology has opened the door for those, whose lives are empty, to “troll” and attempt to put their pain onto others.

They are “just keeping it real, yo.”

These souls are so damaged and in need of something with which to belong, they fill their days jumping onto websites, comment sections, and Facebook pages.

They speak their “truth” by threatening, badgering, and at times stalking others while using vile language including but not limited to profanity.

In the real world none of these things come out of their mouths as they are nothing but keyboard warriors and this is where we, for the betterment of our lives and theirs, must remove them completely.

These humans are comparable to cancer and have the same effect on our bodies.

Unlike cancer, dealing with these diseased animals is very easy, and at your fingertips.

Delete, block, and remove permanently from your life.

“Diversity of thought” doesn’t mean three caring intelligent minds sharing time with three ignorant bigots.

Life isn’t “fair and balanced”.

Life is what you make it.

For example Human Trafficking is never fair nor will there ever be a balance.

It’s something that must stop.

By engaging with the diseased we are giving them a platform to spread their infection.

Would you willingly eat rotten food?

Why then do we engage with rotten minds?

I don’t anymore.

A while ago I had a comment on one of my Facebook pages.  They wanted to know why, out of thousands of comments on my pages, none of them were negative.

This person went on to say they were “speaking their truth” while “keeping it real yo.”

After reading the first paragraph I scrolled to the bottom of the comment that went on for quite a while.  As one can imagine it was filled with hate and desperation and was screaming for my attention.

Like a meth head begging for a hit.

I know most, if not all of us, have had this experience or something similar at one time or another.

For those who value their own health and happiness, deleting and blocking these people without responding, is the best option.

If we have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all, and then remove them from your life so their internal battles don’t become yours.

This can be very difficult ( I have succumbed more than once) as most of us want to strike back or feel we must otherwise we are cowards.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

It is those who remove them without feeding the beast that have strength and are in a position of authority while providing leadership.

No one said leading or doing the right thing is easy.

If however you fall into the category of wanting to “save or educate” or believe it is your duty to explain to these lost vessels what is right and what is wrong I proffer this thought.

For an addict, drug or drama, to ever have a chance to heal, they must first want to heal, otherwise the cycle will repeat, and it does, right on our computer screens.

The loving thing to do with these individuals is to remove them from your life.  Only when they have nowhere else to turn, will the possibility of the truth entering their lives, have a chance.

Silence can be golden and in many cases less is more.

Humans aren’t born special but each one does have an opportunity to be a gift.

Let that gift be you.

Humans love to repeat thoughts or ideas regardless of truth, reliability, or even validity. One such statement we hear constantly is Democracy is messy.  The implication is because Democracy is “messy” this makes it valid and/or reliable. This is of course false. Democracy isn’t messy.  It flows very cleanly from […]
