Apple shares are closing in on the historic $1 trillion market value milestone.

Hitting $207.05 a share would bring it to the $1 trillion mark.

The shares have soared since reporting better-than-expected quarterly earnings on Tuesday after the bell. The stock jumped 5.9 percent on Wednesday and have continued higher Thursday.

This would be the first publicly-traded U.S. company to hit a $1 trillion market capitalization. Amazon, which some analysts speculated would hit the milestone first, is second in value, worth $879 billion at last count on Thursday.

Apple revealed an adjusted outstanding share count of 4,829,926,000 alongside the company’s June quarter results in a filing Wednesday. That factors in hefty stock buybacks.
