Grains higher, livestock lower

Grain futures were higher Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Dec. delivery was down 4.20 cents at $4.30 a bushel; Dec corn gained 1.40 cents 3.4960 a bushel; December oats was unchanged at $2.63 a bushel while Nov. soybeans was up 3 cents at $9.80 a bushel.

Beef was lower and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was down .20 cent at $1.2710 a pound; November feeder cattle was down .58 cent at $1.6030 a pound; December lean hogs lost .40 cent at $.6470 a pound.
