76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. released from hospital after being struck by vehicle in Center City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia 76ers player Kelly Oubre Jr. has been released from a hospital after being struck by a vehicle around 7 p.m. Saturday in Center City, the team confirms to CBS Philadelphia.

The 27-year-old Sixers guard was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street.

Oubre Jr. is expected to miss significant time due to his injuries, but those aren’t considered to be season-ending according to the team.

The 76ers are scheduled to play Sunday at home vs the Indiana Pacers with tipoff at 6 p.m. 

Oubre Jr. is a nine-year NBA veteran playing in his first season with Philadelphia, joining the team from the Charlotte Hornets. He is averaging 16.3 points in 8 games this season.
