Protests against police brutality continue across U.S.—and the world

In Washington, D.C., thousands staged what was the city’s biggest Black Lives Matter demonstration yet on Saturday. Demonstrations also took place in Europe, Australia and throughout Asia. Protesters in Bristol, England, toppled a statue of slave trader Edward Colston, whose company transported tens of thousands of slaves between 1672 and 1689.
