Kansas City Chiefs’ backup center Daniel Kilgore has been cleared to play in Super Bowl LV on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

Kilgore was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list after receiving a haircut last Sunday from a barber who tested positive. He has since returned negative tests every day.

Kansas City had yet to formally announce a roster move involving Kilgore as of late afternoon in Tampa, the site of the Super Bowl between the Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kilgore reportedly participated in the team’s Saturday walkthrough in Kansas City before the team departed for Tampa.

Receiver Demarcus Robinson was in the same situation as Kilgore, and he was cleared to play on Friday after getting through the protocols.

ESPN reported that Kansas City’s COVID-19 tests came back negative on Saturday.

The Chiefs also activated veteran quarterback Matt Moore, receiver Marcus Kemp and defensive back Chris Lammons from the practice squad and activated tight end Deon Yelder (groin) from injured reserve.

Kansas City also placed linebacker Willie Gay (knee/ankle) and offensive tackle Eric Fisher (Achilles) on injured reserve. Fisher suffered a serious injury in the AFC title game against the Buffalo Bills on Jan. 24.
