Turks and Caicos revises law requiring mandatory 12-year sentence for firearm-related offenses – CBS News

The popular tourist destination Turks and Caicos has changed a law that required a minimum 12-year prison sentence for firearm-related offenses. It no longer has the mandatory sentence. The change comes as multiple Americans have been arrested for having ammunition in their luggage. Another American is set to be sentenced Friday.
