Trump told Fox News on Monday morning that he will announce his vice president later in the day.
The rumored shortlist of vice president candidates is J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Doug Burgum (R-N.D.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
Monday is the first day of the Republican National Convention (RNC) that takes place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This comes two days after an assassination attempt on Trump’s life took place at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
