Quicker government action could have significantly reduced COVID-19 deaths in the U.S.

Epidemiologists say the number of coronavirus deaths in the U.S. could have been reduced by up to 83% if the government had enforced social distancing guidelines sooner. Stewart Patrick, the director of international and global governance for the Council on Foreign Relations, co-authored a report on how to better tackle COVID-19 and future infectious diseases. He joined CBSN’s Elaine Quijano to discuss.
