Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray was diagnosed with a concussion, the team announced prior to Tuesday’s practice.

It is Murray’s second known concussion in eight months and third of this career.

The latest one apparently occurred during the first period of Saturday’s game against the Montreal Canadiens when there was a collision between Montreal forward Brendan Gallagher and Murray.

Penguins coach Mike Sullivan is expected to discuss Murray’s status after practice.

The 24-year-old Murray has allowed 11 goals in two games this season.

The two-time Stanley Cup winning goalie has a 69-29-8 record and 2.64 goals-against average in 113 regular-season appearances (107 starts).
