Aryna Sabalenka captured her third straight singles title with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 victory over Veronika Kudermetova of Russia in the final of the Abu Dhabi WTA Women’s Tennis Open on Wednesday.

The fourth-seeded Belarusian followed up tournament wins at Ostrava and Linz to end 2020 by extending her career-best winning streak to 15 matches on Wednesday. She has nine career WTA singles titles under her belt.

“I’m really happy to keep winning, and I’ll do everything I can to keep winning,” Sabalenka said. “Nobody likes to lose.”

Sabalenka, 22, recorded 18 winners against 13 unforced errors and converted six of her 12 break points to spoil Kudermetova’s bid for her first singles final. Kudermetova had 24 unforced errors and just 13 winners.

Sabalenka, ranked No. 10 in the world, won the only previous meeting against Kudermetova in 2015 on the ITF Challenger circuit.
