Trump to Speak to the Nation

by: Daveda Gruber:

President Trump will go on Live TV tonight to share information with ‘We the People’.

Trump will speak from the Oval Office Tuesday night and deliver a message to the American people about border security. He’ll talk about the wall he wants to build on the American-Mexico border.

Of course Democrats are pulling their hair out over what Trump could possibly say and are already anticipating lies from him.

This is not a one person matter and Trump has many supporters on his side who believe that the wall or barrier of some sort is necessary.

Border patrol agents and even a former Border Patrol Chief, Mark Morgan, under Obama agrees with Trump that walls are effective.

Morgan stated, “I cannot think of a legitimate argument why anyone would not support the wall as part of a multi-layered border security issue.”

He added, “Why aren’t we listening to the experts and the people who do it every day? I don’t understand that.”

Leader of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and Senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer, will give their answer to the president’s message. Yes, unfortunately, they managed to get heard too.

Last month, House Republicans voted 217 to 185 to approve a measure that would keep the government open and allocate $5.7 billion for border wall funding.

The bill is now waiting a full vote in the Senate, where lawmakers are hashing it out over funding for border security.

Republicans need 60 votes in the Senate to pass a bill. If the Nuclear Option is used, that would need 51 votes.

Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, doesn’t want to open the flood gates on the ‘Nuclear Option’ on this as it could possibly be used against Republicans by Democrats, in the future, if they ever get a majority in the Senate.

Time will tell the story but for now we wait for Trump to speak.

Do you believe that a barrier is needed on our southern border? I’d love to hear your opinion.
