MAMARONECK, N.Y. (Reuters) – American Bryson DeChambeau won the U.S. Open at Winged Foot on Sunday to secure his first major title.

World number nine DeChambeau, who began the day two shots back of overnight leader Matthew Wolff, was the only player to break par in the final round as he carded a three-under 67 to reach six under on the week for a six-shot victory.

U.S. Open debutant Wolff (75) finished alone in second place.
