It’s been a devastating year for Florida manatees, with more than 1,000 deaths, mostly from starvation — a new record. Seagrass, their main food source, has been ravaged by algae “super blooms,” as CBS News senior national and environmental correspondent Ben Tracy reports. Tracy visited the dedicated people trying to protect and rescue these gentle giants.
