13 dead, including 7 children, in Philadelphia fire

Thirteen people were found dead following a fire at a building in Philadelphia’s Fairmount neighborhood on Wednesday morning, the city’s fire department said. Seven children are among the victims.

The Philadelphia Fire Department said the call came in around 6:38 a.m. Wednesday. According to authorities, the fire happened inside a duplex that houses two apartments. Crews got the fire under control by 7:31 a.m.
