Report finds influence of hate groups “ballooned” in government over last four years

The Southern Poverty Law Center released its annual “Year in Hate and Extremism” report on Monday. Despite a drop in the number of hate groups across the U.S., it says says the decrease should not be interpreted as a reduction of bigotry.
