Mangrove restoration in Florida Keys could offer climate solution – CBS News

Four years after Category 5 Hurricane Irma devastated the Florida Keys, volunteers are still cleaning up debris in the area. As part of the restoration efforts, they’re planting baby mangroves, which are trees that sequester large amounts of greenhouse gases. CBS News meteorologist and climate specialist Jeff Berardelli visited the Keys for a closer look at the restoration efforts.
