Veteran left-hander Cole Hamels will hold a showcase for interested teams on July 16 in Texas, according to multiple reports.

The 37-year-old Hamels has pitched in just one game since the end of the 2019 season. He has a 163-122 record and 3.43 ERA in 422 career starts and one relief appearance in 15 seasons.

Hamels was MVP of both the National League Championship Series and World Series in 2008 when the Philadelphia Phillies won the championship.

The four-time All-Star signed a one-year, $18 million deal with the Atlanta Braves prior to the 2020 season. He struggled with shoulder and triceps injuries and pitched just once — giving up three runs in 3 1/3 innings — being telling team officials he needed to be shut down.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the Los Angeles Dodgers are sending personnel to view Hamels.

Hamels spent his first 9 1/2 seasons with the Phillies and went 114-90 with a 3.30 ERA. He won 10 or more games in six straight seasons from 2007-12 and was an All-Star three teams.

Hamels also was an All-Star for the Texas Rangers in 2016 when he went 15-5 with a 3.32 ERA. He spent parts of four seasons with the Rangers.

He also pitched parts of two seasons with the Chicago Cubs prior to the brief tenure with Atlanta.
