FDA sets new mammogram guidelines to protect women – CBS News

Federal Drug Administration officials have released new standards to help women detect breast cancer earlier. Mammogram providers will now be required to inform women if they have dense breast tissue. Dr. Jessica Shepherd, chief medical officer for Verywell Health in Dallas, joins CBS News’ Elaine Quijano and Nikki Battiste to discuss the significance of these new regulations.
