The 2018 Oscars are underway and the winners are beginning to be announced.
The first award of the night went to Sam Rockwell for best supporting actor for his role in “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.”
She began her speech by joking, “I did it all by myself.” She also thanked her castmates and even the bird that was used in the film as her funny companion.
“Nothing further from the truth,” she adds. https://t.co/KGJMUsJlgf #Oscars pic.twitter.com/1HkC69fWhA
“Dunkirk” has also had a strong night, taking home multiple awards, including for sound editing and sound mixing.
Jordan Peele also took home an Oscars for original screenplay for “Get Out.”
“I knew if someone let me make this movie, I knew people would hear it and see it,” Peele said after spending years making the film. “To my mom who taught me to love, even in the face of hate,” Peele added.
