Grains higher, livestock mostly lower

Grain futures were higher Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Dec. delivery was up 5.20 cents at $4.32 a bushel; Dec corn gained 1.40 cents 3.4960 a bushel; December oats was 2.60 cents higher at $2.7220 a bushel while Nov. soybeans was up 3 cents at $9.91 a bushel.

Beef was mostly lower and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was down .50 cent at $1.2243 a pound; November feeder cattle was up .33 cent at $1.5765 a pound; December lean hogs lost .10 cent at $.6365 a pound.
