Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has announced he is “suspending” his campaign for presidency and has thrown support to former President Donald Trump.

During his speech in Phoenix, Arizona, Kennedy said that even though he is not terminating his candidacy, he is suspending it.

He said that while he would leave his name on some ballots, he is removing it from 10 battleground states.

“I want everyone to know that I am not terminating my campaign. I am simply suspending it and not not ending it,” Kennedy said. “My name will remain on the ballot in most states. If you live in a blue state, you can vote for me without harming or helping President Trump or Vice President Harris.”

“In about 10 battleground states where my presence would be a spoiler, I’m going to remove my name, and I’ve already started that process and urge voters not to vote for me,” he continued.

The former Independent presidential candidate then went on to back Trump.

“Three great causes drove me to enter this race in the first place, primarily, and these are the principal causes that persuaded me to leave the Democratic Party and run as an Independent, and now to throw my support to President Trump,” he said.

He continued by citing the reasons for his support saying that the causes include “free speech, war in Ukraine and the war on our children.”

Kennedy also stated that he believes that “in an honest system, I believe that I would have won the election.”

“My father and my uncle thrived in a system…open debates with fair primaries, with a regularly scheduled debate with fair primaries and with a truly independent media, untainted by government propaganda and censorship. In a system of nonpartisan courts and election boards, everything would be different,” he added.

The 45th president, who will be in Arizona tonight, has teased a special guest at his rally who many speculate could be Kennedy. Trump has also hinted at possibly having Kennedy in his cabinet if he wins re-election.
