Jim Jordan Falls Short In Second Round of Speakership Voting

Jim Jordan loses the speaker bid on the second try today. He only got 198 votes. He lost two more votes this time, 22 republicans voted against him. He needs a majority of 217 votes to secure the gavel and become second in line for the Presidency. Until a Speaker is selected, the House is at a standstill.
