Israel, Hezbollah ceasefire takes effect, halting war in Lebanon – CBS News

Israel and Hezbollah were exchanging heavy fire until moments before theceasefire began. President Biden said the U.S. and France helped broker the agreement that halts the deadly war in Lebanon. During the ceasefire, Israel must withdraw from Lebanon and Hezbollah must retreat north of the Litani River.
