  • Budget deal: The Senate embraced a long term funding deal Wednesday. While the Senate was able to come to a bipartisan spending agreement, some members of the House have expressed concerns about the bill. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California, reaffirmed she is a “no” vote on the budget deal. Funding will run out Thursday at midnight, causing another government shutdown, should a funding bill not pass;
  • Omarosa: The “Big Brother” reality TV star and former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman slammed President Trump and her time at the White House on CBS’ “Celebrity Big Brother.” “It’s not my, it’s not my circus, not my monkeys. I’d like to say it’s not my problem but I can’t say that because, like, it’s bad,” she said, recalling White House drama;
  • North Korea: Vice President Mike Pence is in South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics. While there, he met with President Moon Jae-in in the hope that South Korea takes a harder stance against North Korea. He warned against North Korean “propaganda” during the games. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said he would not rule out diplomatic talks during the Olympics regarding North Korea.
