Trump election interference case dismissed – CBS News

The election interference case against President-elect Donald Trump was dismissed Monday after special counsel Jack Smith requested the case end as Justice Department policy forbids the “prosecution of a sitting president.” Prosecutors could decide to charge Trump again after he leaves office.
