Inflation Nears Fed’s 2% Target; Rate Cut Uncertainty Remains

Inflation is inching closer to the Federal Reserve’s 2% annual target, according to the latest ‘Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index.’ The index shows modest increases: 0.1% month-over-month and 2.5% year-over-year. Despite this progress, the possibility of a September rate cut remains uncertain but not off the table. Joining Alicia Summers is David Stryzewski, CEO of Sound Planning Group.
