Six people were killed – including four children – in a fire in an apartment in the Harlem section of Manhattan early Wednesday, authorities said.
The blaze didn’t appear to be suspicious, they said. It took an hour for the 100 firefighters who battled it to get it under control.
The children who perished ranged in age from 3 to 11. Their mother and another adult — possibly a relative — also lost their lives.
