  • Hope Hicks: White House Communications Director Hope Hicks announced her resignation Wednesday evening. In her recent testimony to the House Intelligence Committee, Hicks revealed that her job in the White House would sometimes require her to tell “white lies” for President Trump;
  • Bipartisan gun meeting follow-up: President Trump met with a bipartisan group of lawmakers Wednesday afternoon to discuss school safety measures and potential gun policy options as a follow-up to the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida on Feb. 14 that killed 17 high school students. The meeting yielded hope for Democrats and Republicans to work together on solutions for gun-related issues. Mr. Trump tweeted that “Many ideas, some good & some not so good, emerged from our bipartisan meeting” Thursday morning; 
  • Steel and aluminum tariffs: Thursday morning, Mr. Trump announced that his administration will impose a 10 percent tariff on aluminum and a 25 percent tariff on steel, starting next week, for an unspecified amount of time;
