Data from zoos and aquariums across North America is being used to create matches for breeding – an animal dating app, if you will – to help species survive while maintaining genetic diversity. Correspondent Rita Braver looks behind the scenes of animal matchmaking at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C., and at Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, Conn.
