A new study finds “zombie fires” may increase as the climate changes. That’s a term used to describe wildfires that smolder underground during the winter in northern forests. Randi Jandt, a fire ecologist with the Alaska Fire Science Consortium, joins Lana Zak on CBSN to explain the fires and what threat they pose.
