Stocks hit record highs as tech leads Wall Street rally

Stocks hit fresh all-time highs Tuesday, as technology stocks led a rally on Wall Street.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 160 points to approximately 23,591, a new record close. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite also set new records. The S&P climbed 17 points to 2,599, while the Nasdaq added 71 points to 6,862.

The tech sector led the way with a 1.2% gain on the session. Healthcare stocks also performed well, with medical device maker Medtronic (MDT) spiking 5% on strong earnings.
