In a special election on Tuesday, Ohio voters soundly rejected a GOP-backed measure that would have raised the threshold required to make a change to the state’s constitution from a simple majority to 60%. State Republicans were attempting to change the law ahead of a November election in which Ohio voters will decide whether to enshrine abortion protections in the state constitution.
