Authorities are responding to a school shooting in Texas, a sheriff’s office said. The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office said a suspect was in custody in Italy, Texas.
Ellis County Commissioner Paul Perry said on social media that the shooting happened at Italy High School.
Perry said a girl was shot and wounded.
CBS Dallas-Fort Worth reports that Italy High School and nearby Stafford Elementary School have been locked down.
