Please Support Our Work in 2020

This has been another busy year for us.

The Russia investigation ended, and the impeachment began.

Democratic presidential candidates — by the dozens — started their quest for the nomination. They debated in June (twice), July (twice), September, October and November. And they will debate again tonight.

The government shut down; the president declared a national emergency at the southern border; and mass shooters continued to terrorize U.S. communities and hamstring Congress.

In SciCheck, we debunked false and misleading claims about global warming, vaccinations and wildfires.

With your support, we were able to bring you the facts about these and other consequential issues throughout the year. We hope that once again we can count on your support in 2020 — a presidential election year that promises to be even more challenging for fact-checkers and voters.

FactCheck.org began accepting individual donations in 2010 as a way to supplement the founding grant that we received years ago from the Annenberg Foundation. We don’t accept advertising, and have never accepted, directly or indirectly, any funds from unions, partisan organizations or advocacy groups. So your donations are important to us.

In fiscal year 2017, we raised a record $200,000. Help us set a new record in 2020.

Credit card donations may be made through our “Donate” page, where you can make a one-time or recurring monthly donations.

If you prefer to give by check, send to: FactCheck.org, Annenberg Public Policy Center, 202 S. 36th St., Philadelphia, PA 19104-3806. Checks can be made payable to: “The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania” with a note in the memo field indicating the donation is for FactCheck.org.

FactCheck.org is a project of the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg Public Policy Center. The University of Pennsylvania is a 501(c)(3) organization, and your contribution is deductible from U.S. federal income taxes to the full extent allowed by law.

Thank you for your support. Have a happy holiday, and a safe and healthy new year.
