Iranians see widespread internet blackout amid mass protests over woman’s death – CBS News

Iranians experienced a near-total internet blackout Wednesday as mass protests spread to dozens of towns. The demonstrations erupted after a 22-year-old woman died Friday while in police custody over alleged violations of Iran’s strictly-enforced dress code. Hadi Ghaemi, the executive director for the Center for Human Rights in Iran, joined CBS News to discuss the situation.
