The U.S. is currently in the middle of a blood shortage. Hospitals across the country are being forced to postpone elective surgeries and transplants as they scramble to find donations. Claudia Cohn is the Chief Medical Officer for the American Association of Blood Banks. She joined CBSN’s Caitlin Huey-Burns to discuss.
