Cities across North America have been vying to host the World Cup after FIFA announced Canada, Mexico and the U.S. would co-host the 2026 games. On Thursday, the international soccer organization named which cities were chosen.
Sixteen U.S. cities received the honor: Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New York/New Jersey, Orlando, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and Washington, D.C./Baltimore, Maryland.
In Canada, Edmonton, Toronto and Vancouver will host games, while Mexico’s Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey will also participate.
