Germany economy minister raises Hong Kong during China visit

BEIJING (Reuters) – German Economy Minister Peter Altmaier said on Wednesday he raised the issue of Hong Kong during his visit to Beijing this week.

The former British colony has been racked by protests against a planned extradition law that would allow people to be sent to mainland China to face trial. The Hong Kong government has now postponed the bill.
