Marrianne Williamson has announced her official bid for presidency, making her the first Democrat to announce a 2024 campaign.

Williamson made her announcement during an exclusive interview with Medi News Service.

“I wouldn’t be running for president if I didn’t believe I could contribute to harnessing the collective sensibility that I feel is our greatest hope at this time,” Williamson said.

During an interview with Politico, Williamson spoke about being the first Democrat to challenge the 80-year-old.

“Apparently Biden’s going to run on a message that the economy is getting stronger. I think that speaks to the disconnect between the analysis of party elites versus the struggle of everyday Americans,” Williamson said.

The Spiritual advisor and bestselling self-help author called for reparations and a Department of Peace as part of her long-shot campaign for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, even preaching the politics of love.

Among the “six pillars for a season of moral restoration,” she highlighted economic fairness. She advocated for restitution for the ancestors of African-American slaves and urged the establishment of departments for children and youths and peace. She performed several unusual behaviors, such as holding a meditation session while running for office in New Hampshire.

Her campaign only lasted one year until she dropped out in January 2020.

This comes as Williamson said that she was considering “the potential of vying for the Democratic nomination for president in 2024” in a news release from a week earlier.

“As America gears up for the 2024 presidential election, I’m preparing for an important announcement on March 4th in Washington D.C.,” she advertised.

It is speculated that is when she will formally launch her campaign in Washington D.C.

Reportedly, the Democrat will travel to South Carolina, New Hampshire, Michigan and Nevada after March 4th
