Argentina formally initiates talks with IMF over a new program: government statement

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) – Argentina’s government has formally initiated talks with the International Monetary Fund on a new program, it said in a statement on Wednesday.

Argentina is aiming to negotiate a new package with the IMF, which agreed to a $57 billion financing program with the cash-strapped South American nation in 2018.
