Unlike other years, Black Friday might not serve as the biggest shopping day of 2021. Due to shortages of pretty much everything from cars and houses to smartphones and toys and warnings from the postal service that deliveries might majorly lag this holiday season, many Americans are getting their holiday shopping done much earlier than usual. That’s because Amazon kicked off of its holiday season Monday, unveiling what the company calls “Black Friday-worthy deals” in October.
