Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) blasted migrants for filing a lawsuit against Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) after he sent them to Martha’s Vineyard.

In a video posted to Twitter on Wednesday, Rubio said that America is the only nation where someone can enter by violating laws and then a week later sue the government whose laws they broke. This statement comes after the migrants were flown from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard. The migrants alleged that they were promised work, housing and food.

Rubio noted that no other country in the world would allow a lawsuit like that.

“The other hypocrisy here is all of these people in the media, in politics going around saying that we have an obligation to assume this responsibility of carrying for millions of people who are coming, have come, or want to come. Who assumes the responsibility?” Rubio asked. “Who’s supposed to pay for all of this? Cause they don’t want to pay for it. They don’t want it.”

Rubio went on to say that Democrats only want to allow migrants in the United States if they stay in red states, such as Florida or Texas.
