Deciding between an NFL or MLB career might have been difficult, but Kyler Murray found one pro athlete with a common bond, as well as a Heisman Trophy, who could give him some major league advice.

Tim Tebow, the former NFL quarterback who is a college football analyst for ESPN and baseball minor league outfielder, interviewed Murray during the football season.

“Kyler, I think he’s a really good young man, and I think this was a really tough decision for him,” Tebow told reporters Saturday after arriving at the New York Mets’ spring training camp in Port St. Lucie, Fla. “He loves two sports, and I can really relate to that. And he went with something that he’s been really good at lately and dominating in.

“When we talked about it, and we did talk about that, I just gave him the advice to follow your heart. Whatever you’re passionate about. Don’t do it for your agents or your friends, and sometimes necessarily not even your family.”

Earlier this week, Murray said he was “firmly and fully committing my life to being an NFL quarterback.”

–Former Denver Broncos and Houston Texans wide receiver Demaryius Thomas came away with minor injuries after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a rollover crash near downtown Denver, multiple reports indicated.

A female passenger reportedly suffered serious injuries in the crash, while another male passenger also suffered minor injuries.

According to a police news release, officers responded to the 1200 block of Auraria Parkway at approximately 12:20 a.m. Thomas, 31, reportedly lost control of the car and it came to rest on a median. All three passengers were transported to a local hospital.

–Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro receiver Antonio Brown didn’t hold back when a Twitter user asked him about the differences he has with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, saying the two lack “mutual respect.”

“No conflict just a matter of respect! Mutual respect! He has a owner mentality like he can call out anybody including coaches. Players know but they can’t say anything about it otherwise they meal ticket gone. It’s a dirty game within a game. #truth”

On Tuesday, Brown used Twitter to announce his time in Pittsburgh was done. “Thank you SteelerNation for a big 9 years … time to move on and forward,” Brown tweeted with the hashtag #NewDemands.

–Cincinnati Bengals running back Mark Walton was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery in south Florida late Friday, according to multiple reports.

He posted bond and was released from Miami-Dade County jail.

Police said the charges stemmed from an argument he had with a couple at his condominium complex over his car blocking the entrance to the parking garage, the Miami Herald reported.
