  • Andrew McCabe: Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, whose firing has been recommended and is under review by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, is meeting with Associate Deputy Attorney General Scott Schools on Thursday, as a part of Sessions’ review, CBS News’ Paula Reid reports;
  • New Russia sanctions: The Treasury Department announced new sanctions against Russian persons and entities the U.S. government believes helped interfere in 2016 U.S. elections Thursday; 
  • Irish visit: Mr. Trump met with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar Thursday. In that meeting, the president said that “It looks like the Russians were behind” a recent chemical attack on Russian former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter;
