The Los Angeles Kings signed goaltender Jack Campbell to a two-year contract extension worth $3.3 million, the team announced Saturday.
Campbell’s contract will go into effect at the start of the 2020-21 season. It carries an average annual value of $1.65 million.
The 27-year-old Campbell posted a 10-14-1 record with two shutouts, a 2.30 goals-against average and .928 save percentage in 33 games (career-high 25 starts) last season. His save percentage was third-best among goaltenders who appeared in at least 25 games in 2018-19.
Campbell has a 12-15-3 mark with two shutouts, a 2.41 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in 38 career games with the Dallas Stars (2013-14) and Kings (2016-19).
The Kings acquired Campbell from the Stars on June 25, 2016, in exchange for defenseman Nick Ebert.
The Stars drafted Campbell with the 11th overall pick of the 2010 NHL Draft.
