Shares of messaging software company Slack jumped on its first day of trading Thursday.

But how much money has the company actually been making?

Slack claims it has more than 10 million daily active users. Its basic messaging software is free, but the platform is popular with businesses and the company offers payable upgrades for features like expanded data storage and shared channels between its customers’ “workspaces.”

In its first quarter financial results, Slack boasted total revenue of $134.8 million — a 67 percent year-over-year increase. Its Calculated Billings was $149.6 million — a 47 percent year-over-year increase. Its GAAP gross profit was $116.2 million, compared to $70.8 million in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year, and its GAAP operating loss was $38.4 million, compared to $26.3 million in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year.
