State Representative Nancy Mace has defeated Democratic incumbent U.S. Representative Joe Cunningham in South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District race. Mace is the first Republican woman from South Carolina to be elected to Congress. She joins a wave of GOP women winning U.S. House seats in the 2020 election.
