Tuesday is primary day in the race for New York City’s next mayor. The fiercely contested Democratic primary comes amid unprecedented public health, economic and safety concerns, and it’s also the first time New York City voters are able to pick mayoral candidates in order of preference thanks to ranked choice voting.
